July 2019 Market Update

Home buyer demand picked up across Metro Vancouver, making July, a traditionally quieter month in real estate, the second highest selling month so far this year

REBGV reports residential home sales totalled 2,557 in July 2019 (23.5% increase from 2,070 sales in July 2018, and a 23.1% increase from 2,077 homes sold in June 2019)

“….Those looking to buy today continue to benefit from the low interest rates, increased selection, and reduced prices compared to the heated market a few years ago.” (Ashley Smith, REBGV President)

Based on this we can see that Town-homes and Condominiums are continuing to sell month to month and are in a balanced market. Detached homes on the other hand continue to trend toward a buyer’s market allowing for greater selection of homes for buyers.

The market is still moving!
